What this means
When you click a link to a retailer on this site and buy something, we may receive a commission from that retailer. The price you pay is identical to the price you would pay going there directly. You are never charged more for using our link.
Which links are affiliate links
Every outbound link to a retailer is marked with rel="sponsored nofollow" and opens in a new tab. Links to manufacturers, standards bodies, research and other publications are ordinary links and earn us nothing.
How we keep rankings independent
Products are chosen for testing before any commercial relationship is considered. Commission rates are not visible to the person writing the review. We regularly recommend products that pay us nothing, and we regularly rank a lower-commission product above a higher-commission one, because the ranking is the only thing on this site worth anything.
Review samples
We buy what we test. Where a product is supplied by a manufacturer, that fact appears in the article. Supplied products are returned or donated after testing and never receive a ranking advantage.
